How to Swap Faces with AI

01 / THE PROCESS

How to Swap Faces with AI

A good face swap starts with the right pair of photos. The target photo supplies the scene, outfit, and pose. The source portrait supplies the identity you want to bring into that scene. Keeping these roles clear makes it easier to prepare your images and judge the result.

01

Upload Your Photo

Choose the photo you want to edit first. A portrait with one clearly visible face is the easiest starting point. Keep the complete head in the frame, leave some space around the hairline, and avoid a tiny face in a very wide landscape. A well-lit original gives an AI face swap more useful detail than a screenshot of a screenshot. Use the original image when you have it, and choose a picture you have permission to edit.

02

Pick the Source Face

Add a separate portrait of the person whose face should appear in the target photo. Choose a sharp image with open eyes and an unobstructed face. For a more natural face swap, use a source portrait with a similar head angle and lighting direction. Front-facing photos are a practical starting point; a dramatic side profile is harder to match to a face looking straight at the camera. Sunglasses, hands, heavy shadows, and motion blur can hide details the model needs.

03

Download

When your result is ready, inspect the eyes, mouth, skin tone, and edge of the face before saving. Look at the whole photo as well as the face: a convincing edit should fit the scene. If the alignment looks wrong, try a clearer source portrait or a target with a more similar pose. Keep your original files so you can compare different attempts. Label your edited photo when sharing it in a context where viewers could mistake it for an unedited image.

02 / MADE FOR PHOTOS

Free Face Swap Online, No Watermark

Try two free face swaps online without creating an account. Choose two photos, review the AI result, and download it without a site watermark. The counter beside the tool shows how many free attempts remain. This is a limited free trial, not unlimited generation: a shared daily capacity limit also protects availability. An attempt is reserved when you submit, and a confirmed failed generation restores your allowance. Network requests with an uncertain outcome are kept for checking instead of being automatically charged and submitted again.

Swap Faces in Photos

Photo face swap is useful for a playful portrait, a character concept, or a creative idea you want to explore with a friend who has agreed to take part. Start with a single person in each image and a scene with an obvious focal point. The target image guides the composition; the source image guides the face. AI can reinterpret details rather than copying every pixel exactly, so check resemblance and expression yourself. A face swap is a creative edit, not proof that someone was present at an event or wore a particular outfit.

03 / BEYOND THE STILL

AI Face Swap for Video

A video face swap has a different job from a photo edit: it has to keep the same face consistent across movement, changing light, expressions, and many frames. This homepage focuses on still photos. Video uploads are not supported by the tool above, and a still image preview is not a video face swap result. A dedicated video face swap page will be added when that workflow is available, with its own file limits, processing information, and output options. For now, use a photo to plan the look you want to explore.

04 / ONE HUB, MORE IDEAS

Face Swap Tools in the Hub

Different projects need different face swap workflows. The hub keeps those uses distinct so that you can see what each tool is intended to do. Photo face swap is the first workflow available here. Multiple-face, GIF, batch, and anime options below describe planned directions, not currently available generators. They will become separate destinations when each can complete its own task.

Planned

Multiple Face Swap

Choose which faces to replace in a group photo and match each person to a source portrait. A single-face edit does not guarantee control over everyone in a group.

Planned

GIF Face Swap

Create a short animated reaction while keeping the face consistent across frames. GIF processing needs its own duration, frame count, and file size limits.

Planned

Batch Face Swap

Apply an approved source face across a collection of photos. Batch processing needs clear per-image results and retries, rather than one ambiguous completion message.

Planned

Anime Face Swap

Explore character-inspired edits with illustrated faces. Stylized proportions need a different approach from a realistic portrait, and results should be evaluated accordingly.

05 / A FEW ANSWERS

Free Face Swap FAQ

How does AI face swap work?

+

An AI face swap uses a target photo and a source face to produce a new image. The intended result combines the target composition with features from the source portrait. The output is generated, so identity, expression, and small details may vary. Clear input photos and similar angles make the intended relationship easier to specify; they do not guarantee a perfect match on every attempt.

Is this free face swap available without signing up?

+

Yes. You can try two photo face swaps without signing up. The allowance is tracked by your browser and network connection to help prevent abuse, so people sharing a connection may share the trial limit. The tool shows your remaining allowance before submission. Free availability is also subject to a shared daily capacity limit. Confirmed failed generations restore the free attempt; an unconfirmed request may remain pending while its status is checked.

Will a face swap add a watermark?

+

We do not add a SwapFaceHub watermark to the generated photo. You can download a completed result directly from the tool. A watermark-free image still has the same consent and copyright considerations as any other edit. It does not give you ownership of another person’s photo or permission to use their likeness. Review the result carefully and make the edited nature clear when viewers might otherwise mistake it for a real photograph.

What photos work best for a realistic face swap?

+

Use one clear face per photo, similar head angles, and balanced light. Avoid faces covered by hair, masks, or hands. Keep the target image large enough to show the features you want to preserve. If the first output has uneven edges or an unfamiliar expression, change the source portrait and compare again. Results depend on the inputs and model, so inspect each edit before sharing.

Can I use face swap for videos or other people’s photos?

+

This page is designed for photos; video face swap is a separate planned workflow. Use your own photos or images and likenesses you have permission to edit. Do not use an edit to impersonate someone, mislead people about a real event, or create nonconsensual intimate content. Make the edited nature clear whenever the context could lead someone to believe the image is authentic.
